Oke so here is my (very late) entry to the second annual modern minis contest, I always think of a back story to what the owner of the house is doing and when I was putting this scene together the story just came to me. The owner of this pad ! is a lady and she just came home from a big shopping spree. Now we all know that most women love to shop even if they have no good reason. But this lady did! You see all of her mail has been left unopened because she found a letter in the mailbox that was way more important. She’s  got an invite to a high school reunion. She’s so excited to see everyone again. And of course she has to look her best ! is the high school hottie still hot? Watt ever became  of that tall nerdy kid did he really become a millionaire? And how many of her former friends have gotten kids now?
After she went shopping she sat down on her comfy sofa with a hot cup of coffee and some old photo’s from way back when… she was so skinny there.. Hmm maybe she should save that piece of freshly baked pie for after the reunion…..

Kitchen is a swap gift by Mad for mod and the coffee table I won from her, sofa is made by me thanks to the tutorial of the lovely pepper at mitchymoominiatures. TV, table, shopping bags, birthday cards , photo’s and documents, love Singing and magazine holder, pillows, coffee, jars of penutbutter and jam made by me. The rest are miniature finds

 



No I'm not dead!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know that I’m still alive even though my last post was some time ago. luckily I’ve noticed that in blog world I’m not the only one that gets exhausted from the real world! But just because I haven’t blogged doesn’t mean I haven’t done any miniature things!

First of all I’ve been working on my skills to make larger thing for my miniatures thing such as tables, Book shelf’s and making MitchyMooMiniatures sofa  some of these things are for a swap and others are for my minismodernas

contest. Witch I will show you guys a scene for later!

On another note I’ve also been working on making some miniature books and miniature printies in a wide range of items you can see some of  them in the pictures below!

I’m also working on my own house that I want to build from scrap I’d really like it to have lots of  ‘’glass’’ including a glass door but I’m still struggling on how to cut the Plexiglas on a good way.

And how to make a modern style door considering  I can’t but those anywhere!It’s going to be a one bedroom loft inspired by the beautiful piece that Phillip Nuveen made as well as shown on:

And last but not least I’m working on my very one scene contest! But more on that later to come.. any way I’ve got lots more to do and a whole lot less time to do it so I’ll best be working on that some more

Undersized Urbanite Dollhouse Contest Part One the Kitchen.

Ok So let’s get started with part one of my entry for the Undersized Urbanite Dollhouse Contest.

Considering I don’t have the budget to make a new doll house.. if decided to change my current one. I’m the kind of person that likes to move around het furniture and change the style of her 1:1 rooms as well. So after looking at this dollhouse for a Year now it’s time to start spring cleaning! Big time! April is the month of cleaning up an looking at thing you want to keep an stuff you want to throw away. Because on the 30^th of April. It’s queens day (as of 2014 kings day, our queen is resigning this year.) And on this day there are market stalls everywhere and people get to sell the old items and make someone else happy with it! Considering the inhibitors of my dollhouse are also Dutch, they are also entering this tradition. And now that they have gotten there beautiful new kitchen in place(made by the very talented Mini Mod Pod incorporated) This is where they start.


First of placing all of the kitchen utensils in the cabinets.

 

Then placing all of the appliances and plug them in to the electricity!

 

 

Placing grandma’s cooking book on the counter.

Making a new place for the dog bowls they also need to eat don’t they?

And now its shopping time. Time for some groceries and some plant’s to bring a bit of life to the room.

 

  

 

Don’t forget to bring the toilet rolls up to the bath room now!

And viola the kitchen is finished and ready for some serous dinner party’s.

 

 

 

But wait someone needs to take out the trash!!

It's here!!!

It’s finally here! My swap with Cyd  from mad for mod and the kitchen she has made form me!
I’m so excited because I wanted to use the kitchen in my entry for the Undersized Urbanite Dollhouse Contest. Considering I just don’t have the money/ the time to make a new dollhouse right now. I wanted to change the look of my current dollhouse! I already started with the bedroom /bathroom.
And now I can get started  on the kitchen area. The kitchen is simply stunning! And it fits perfectly in my house. Of course I didn’t follow the rule to wait and open one package per day I was simply to exited so I open’ t them and here are the pieces individually:

 

 

   She even made sure I got some pottery and pans.

And here it is with the furniture in place! Fits perfectly doesn’t it..?

I’m so great full for this kitchen, so Cyd thank you so much!!
I really hope my package arrives safe and sound with you as well!
